Monumental Market

Monumental Market is a vibrant community space located in Jamaica Plain that’s home to two locally grown and fantastic small businesses: El Colombiano Coffee and Lavender Bee Baking Co. You will not only find aromatic coffee and delicious pastries here, but also arts and products featured by local vendors. We highly encourage you make a visit - directions.

This space had been previously been used as a bakery, so our primary goal for this project was to reconfigure layout to meet the needs of El Columbiano and Lavender Bee. This required extensive demo, followed by the installation of new electrical and plumbing for the kitchen and coffee machinery. We also restored the hard wood floors and constructed a new customer area which included countertops and shelving made of reclaimed wood. The drink rails located by the front windows are also custom-built and constructed of reclaimed wood. A final coat of white paint and an earthy gray trim concluded the project.
